Kate established Drama at Newman in 2003 and now combines teaching on the Single and Combined Honours Drama courses with her research on the work of Edward Bond. Her teaching specialisms are Drama in Education, Modern and Postmodern drama. Her PHD research is titled Theorising a new aesthetic: Edward Bond's 'pre-epic' Drama and her latest peer reviewed publication is 'Quarreling with Brecht: Understanding Edward Bond's post-structuralist political aesthetic' in Studies in Theatre and Performance. Kate is an external examiner for the MA in Drama in Education at the University of Wales.
