Foreign Policy
There were three foreign secretaries between the years of 1815 to 1830
with Viscount Castlereagh (1812-1822), George Canning (1822-1830)
and Lord Aberdeen (1827-1830) but the foriegn policy was mainly influence
by the Duke of Wellington who was also the Prime Minister at the time
as well.

Factors influencing Policy

Britain had an extensive network of trading arrangements between
the different countries in Europe and America. Also, Brtiain
had a number of colonies overseas and also at this time Britain was
experiencing the 'industrial revolution'.

Britain is an island meant it could captialise on its commercial
markets which was dependent on the foreign trade for raw materials.

From 1793 to 1815, Britain was constantly at war with the French
and they played a role in defeating Napoleon at Waterloo. Britain
also achieve co-operation between the European countries and by 1815
it was seen as a great power.
