The greyhound stadiums in Birmingham are best known for their entertainment, they Provide an excellent night out, plenty of atmosphere, opportunities to place bets and watch the events. Both Perry Barr and Hall Green have been host to several major open events which has attracted thousands.

Hall Green stadium held it’s first race in 1927, the ground is a part of the GRA group that have provided great greyhound racing and trackside facilities for the UK. The stadium has held major open events, which are as follows:

Parr Barr stadium was used for greyhound racing in 1989, however previous to this the greyhound racing was located 400yards away from the current stadium, which was opened in 1928. Perry Barr Stadium was also home to Birchfield Harriers between 1929-1978.

The stadium is also part of the GRA group, and has held the Birmingham Cup Trophy and the Ladbrokes 100 Guineas Trophy. In order for the ground to undergo development Perry Barr stadium has agreed a £4.2 million to take over the national dog track group at Wembley.

By Car

From Birmingham city centre, follow the 'One Stop' signs, bear left off A34 to Island, take the second exit and follow A453 under fly-over. Perry Barr Stadium is on the left.

From the motorway M5/M6, leave M6 at junction 7, follow signs to Birmingham city centre onto A453 for approximately three miles. Follow the road to the left at Perry Barr onto the A453 Aldridge Road. Perry Barr Stadium is 100 yards on the left.

By car: exit A34 into York Road. Track sign posted and approximately 400 yards along York Road.

By bus: 11 Outer Circle route stops outside the York Public house, which is two minutes walk from the stadium.

By rail: the Birmingham Greyhound Stadium is 15-20 minutes by taxi from either New Street Station or the NEC Station.
