About the NIA heading

The National Indoor Arena opened in 1991 and is said to be the largest scale indoor sporting and entertainment venue in Europe. The arena has believed to have shown over 30 different sports events and a varity of entertainment and music since its opening.

The NIA focuses on all levels of performance from club level through towards international level. The arena has hosted major world and European championships such as the IAAF World Indoor Athletics and the Davis Cup Tennis.

The Arena is home to British indoor athletics, there has been already seven athletics records been set at the venue. Also the Davis Cup Tennis, which has staged five ties from 1999. There are also many more sports that are played in NIA which are badminton, climbing, table tennis, judo and many more.
