Welcome to disability and inclusive learning services. Our role is to promote awareness of disability issues throughout the University College and to work with others to empower students with additional needs to fully participate in Newman life.
These web pages provide information about our team and services, assistance available, what to do if you have a disability or health condition or think you may have dyslexia, financial assistance and lots of other useful information.
They include information useful to:
- Prospective students
- Current students
- Staff supporting students with disabilities, health conditions or specific learning difficulties.
- Non-medical support workers
Contact us if you:
- Are Deaf or hard of hearing
- Visually impaired - Blind or partially sighted.
- Have a new or on-going disability, medical condition, or specific learning difficulty (e.g. dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysphasia, dyscalculia)
- Think you may have dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties
- Have with mental health issues - such as depression or anxiety.
We may also be able to help if you have a temporary impairment or health difficulty as a result of an accident, injury, surgery or illness.
We can provide information in alternative formats, such as large print, audio format, Braille on request to disability services, please contact us.
