Jonathan Taylor - A Delightful Visit

On October 11th 2011, our visiting writer Jonathan Taylor talked to students in EN513: Non-Fictional Prose about his memoir: Take Me Home: Parkinson’s, My Father, Myself (Granta, 2007). He also carried out a writing workshop in which we all created personal essays on the topic of ‘Delight’. This was Jonathan's fifth visit to Newman University. We enjoy his workshops so much we just have to keep asking him back!

Jonathan has published short stories, feature articles, comment articles, reviews and non-fiction in many and various magazines, journals and anthologies, including, Guardian Education, Guardian Family, Times Higher, Granta, and the Times Literary Supplement. Jonathan’s radio scripts, serials, stories, readings and interviews have been recorded and broadcast on radio stations including BBC Radio 5, BBC Scotland, BBC Wales and many others.

Jonathan is co-founder and co-director of Crystal Clear Creators (www.crystalclearcreators.org.uk), an arts organisation which records, publishes, produces and promotes new writing, particularly for radio.
