Adrian Johnson - A Brummie Giant

Year two English students had a chance to meet the 2009-2010 Birmingham Poet Laureate, Adrian Johnson, when he delivered a session in the Literary Birmingham module on March 11th this year. Adrian talked about his work as the 14th Birmingham Laureate and read some of his very entertaining poems. He also introduced the group to his novel Love and Taxes and talked about his locally inspired story Black Country Giant. We were fascinated to hear about the way in which Adrian was collaborating with schoolchildren across Wednesbury to create a musical drama based on his story.
