Postgraduate Teacher Training Open Evening


12th November 2015:  5.30-8.00pm at Newman University

First Steps into the World of New Testament Greek


20th – 24th July 2015 (10.00-16.00) at Newman University

This fun and informal 5 day course aims to build confidence with the alphabet and language of the New Testament. Throughout the course we will be working closely with the Greek New Testament and you will gain the knowledge and skills to be able to read simple sentences and clauses from it.

NBRIA and CES - RE GCSE & A Level Training Day


Friday 10th July 2015 – Newman University, Birmingham

The GCSE and A Level Religious Education syllabus is changing, which may provide challenges to many schools. In order to help schools prepare for the new examination specifications NBRIA and CES have met with the Catholic universities to organise regional training days for Heads of RE, Head Teachers and specific link governors. The training days will be delivered by a team of academic staff from the Catholic Universities who have been involved in shaping the new syllabi.

Academic Practice is pleased to announce the re-launch of the Newman University Annual Learning and Teaching Conference.  This year the conference will focus its attention on inclusivity in all its forms.  Over recent decades the concept of inclusivity in Higher Education has become more inclusive!  From an original focus on supporting disabled students or those from non-traditional backgrounds it has come to include values, practices, policies and behaviours which actively engage everyone in the university community to our full potential and for our mutual benefit.
