Next Newman Open Day
SATURDAY 3RD JULY 2010 10AM UNTIL 3PM

Newman University College Open Days give prospective students, their families and friends the opportunity to meet staff and students and obtain further information about the range of courses we offer. Although not essential, to avoid delays when arriving at our open days we advise that you pre-register HERE.

At Newman Open Days you will have opportunity to:

  • Meet subject tutors and get personal advice
  • Go on campus tours to view Newman's range of facilities and surroundings 
  • Speak to members of our support services including those from admissions, finance, international opportunities, student support and the Student Union 
  • Watch presentations on the following topics:
    • Initial Teacher Education
    • Financing Your Studies
    • Studying for a Single and Combined Honours Degree

Newman University College Professional Development Open Evening 

Wednesday 12th May 2010

4pm until 8pm

Newman’s professional development open evening provides an ideal opportunity to come along and discuss your professional development needs with our friendly and knowledgeable staff. Programmes available include part-time work-based Foundation Degrees in the areas of Counselling, Early Years, IT, Management and Leadership, Teaching and Learning and Working with Vulnerable Adults. In addition, postgraduate opportunities such as postgraduate certificates and diplomas leading to Masters degrees in the areas of Contemporary Christian Theology, Creative and Media Education, Early Years, Education Studies, Physical Education and Sports Studies, Professional Enquiry, Safeguarding Children and Youth Work are also available.

Education Liaison
The University College's Senior Education Liaison Officer is Adam Gore. Adam and his team visit schools and colleges to provide interactive workshops and presentations on a range of issues to improve applications to higher education, including student finance, the UCAS applications process, writing effective personal statements, what to consider when choosing a university, how to research your university choice and various subject specific taster sessions for year 12 students.
