After graduating in Fine Art from University Falmouth, she took an MA in Surface Pattern Design at BCU and a PGCert Teaching and Learning in Higher Education at Coventry University. Sarah utilises photography, photocopying and Adobe Photoshop to produce designs which are then applied to fabric, tableware and ceramic tiles.

Sarah recently completed an Artist Teacher Scheme offered by Birmingham Institute of Art and Design and New Art Gallery, Walsall. The aim of the scheme is to enable artist teachers to extend their practice and widen their knowledge of current issues in contemporary art. The programme culminated in an exhibition at the New Art Gallery, Walsall. Sarah’s current work is informed by photographs and digitally manipulated images and she is interested in the work of ‘Outsider Artists’ and influenced by contemporary illustrators and graffiti artists, making contact with them via MySpace.
