A minimum of 280 UCAS points including grades CC or above at A2 level, BTEC National Diploma with an overall grade of Distinction Merit Merit, or an Access Diploma with a minimum of 39 credits with Merit or Distinction. Why study Religious Education?
This minor route is only offered in combination with Education Studies major as it is aimed at those students who are considering a career in teaching or other aspects of education. It draws on the Theology department’s strengths in the area of Religious Education.
What careers could I consider after this degree?
Graduates of Theology, Philosophy and Religion at Newman will have developed a valuable understanding of a variety of religious traditions and cultures, enabling them to interpret the diverse religious and cultural practices of contemporary society. These skills are increasingly valued by community support groups, personnel departments, charitable organisations, the leisure and tourism industry and local councils.
