Islamic art is all about bringing beauty and art together. It has three main catogories, the first is calligraphy usually of verses from the quran. The second is arabseques which is scroll work and other floral patterns. The third catogory is geometrical patterns these are usually used in buildings. Both the interior or exterior of a building can have these patterns made through carvings, tiles or metal work.
