10am to 11am – Welcome and Session 1: Live Evil

Knowing that evil exists can make us rethink how we view the world and our relationships with others. What kinds of problems come up when we try to explain what evil is? In this session, we will look at different answers to this question and decide how well they help us understand our place in the world.

11am to 11:15am – Break

11:15am to 12:15pm – Session 2: What is it to be Human?

Are you a human being or are you really a cyborg? Developments in technology and artificial intelligence have challenged the way we think about our identity. In this session we will discuss human-machine hybrids, think about their ethical implications, and reflect on what it is to be human in the 21st Century.
