Birmingham Newman University is seeking a part-time Senior Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer. This role is primarily office-based, with the option for some remote working each week depending on business need.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a proactive and efficient Executive Support team in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The role will provide executive and administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as well as supporting the wider work of the Vice Chancellor’s Office. This includes assisting the CFO with work related to their portfolio, proactive diary and email management, and producing reports and preparing analysis of data. The post-holder will also provide administrative support for University committees and working group meetings, and contribute to the efficient administrative operations of the Executive Office. The successful candidate should:
• Have demonstrable experience as a Personal or Executive Assistant.
• Have proven experience of providing effective administrative support in a complex organisation.
• Have demonstrable experience of board/committee administration, including agenda management and minute-taking.
• Have the ability to use the full range of Microsoft Office 365 packages with a high degree of competence.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build credible relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior staff.
• Have excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Have the ability to maintain professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
• Be a team player who works collaboratively and collegiately and contributes to their wider team.
• Have a positive and proactive attitude.
