Russell Peters

Biography

Russell joined Newman University in September 2014. Russell’s current research direction examines the biomechanics of the golf swing. Other research interests involve the use of compression garments, and strength and conditioning. Russell has contributed to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across several academic institutes such as University of Chichester and Kingston University. Russell teaches sport and exercise biomechanics, research methods, and strength and conditioning related modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He is also active in providing sports science support work to athletes from a variety of different sport.

The mechanics of the golf swing in sport specific environments working with elite golfers. The effects of compression garments on sport performance and injury. The use of technology within strength and conditioning.
