Ian Fellows

Biography

Ian Fellows is a Senior Lecturer in Enterprise and Employability. He spent twenty-five years in leadership positions of public, private and third sector organisations in the UK and Republic of Ireland before working in higher education. Ian leads on our work-related learning programme and the Masters in work-based learning.  He also runs e.school providing start-up support to student entrepreneurs.

In addition to his academic responsibilities, Ian is responsible for our contribution to the HLSM and EYCPP projects we run in collaboration with other local universities.  He also acts as a consultant to local businesses and social enterprises on a range of strategic matters.

Ian holds a Masters in Education (Higher Education) and another in Work-Based Learning (Business Management). He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Fellow of the Institute of Consulting, and a Chartered Manager.

Ian represents Newman University on the Birmingham Commonwealth Association Education Committee, the Social Enterprise Mark Foundation HEI Network, West Midlands Combined Authority Social Economy Growth Team, and is an external examiner for Leeds Trinity University and Buckinghamshire New University.
