We are monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and its impact, and doing all we can to make sure our incoming students and visitors will be safe, healthy and happy on campus during this time. We are responding to the latest government guidance and requirements on covid19 throughout the current situation with additional information for our current students and staff on the intranet.

Some of the ways we are working to create a safer campus for everyone, particularly the vulnerable members of our community, include providing free face coverings at various points across the campus, including at our main reception should you have forgotten to bring yours.  We have a face covering position statement which reflects the latest government guidance, currently as of 26th November which requires everyone to wear one in communal spaces unless they are exempt. There are also numerous hand sanitiser and cleaning stations available for the use of all our visitors and we have continued with enhanced cleaning of our spaces along with ventilation reviews.

Within our Newman community of staff and students, we are encouraging regular lateral flow testing, and require that any positive covid cases be reported to us via our reporting form, allowing us to manage any potential outbreaks on campus. We are also promoting the numerous vaccination opportunities within the local area to our students.

We hope this makes you feel assured but understand that you may still have questions and wish to discuss these with someone.
