Overview

Please note this event is exclusively for those who have already applied to study an undergraduate degree or PGCE teacher training course for September 2022. If you have applied for any other course, or are yet to make an application you should attend one of our Open Days.

Thank you for your application to study at Newman University. Your Applicant Experience Day is an important opportunity for you to visit us before you make your decision about where to study this September. Across the day you will spend time with your academic team and potential classmates. You will learn more about your degree programme, get to experience what it would be like to study here, and to see how you could fit in at Newman University.

The event will conclude with lunch, where there will be the opportunity to informally network with staff and students. Campus tours will be available as well as a chance to speak to our Student Service teams to ask any questions you may have about being a student at Newman University.

We will be providing a number of presentations for parents and guardian across the day relating to Student Finance, the range of academic and student support available here at Newman, and the benefits of having a degree. So we encourage you to bring them along with you to this event.

If you have applied for one of courses with a Foundation Year, you will spend the Applicant Experience Day with the subject area that your subject specialism will be in, and you will learn about years 2-4 of your course. To find out more about Foundation Year you are encouraged to book on to one of our “Introduction to Foundation Year” sessions.

If you are an applicant for Applied Humanities, Applied Writing or Youth and Community Work then you should not book on to this event. Information about a special event for your courses will be communicated with you in due course.
