Get Into Teaching

Many of the best graduates and professionals are training to teach. That’s because there are more great reasons to pursue a career in teaching than ever before. This event will feature overviews on postgraduate and undergraduate routes into teaching, bursaries and scholarships and shortage subjects. The Atrium will host Academic staff from our PGCE programmes as well as our undergraduate initial teacher education courses, providing information on all of our Teacher Training courses and CPD (Continuing Professional Development).

There will be:
Opportunities for potential applicants to meet and discuss places, vacancies.
Opportunities to discuss aspects of application, funding, etc with Newman University staff.

Introductory talk –  routes into teaching
Finance – Bursaries and Scholarships
Applying for shortage subjects (advice, guidance, support)

Newman University is located in Bartley Green, approximately 6 miles from Birmingham city centre. If travelling by car and using a satellite navigation system, the post code for the university is: B32 3NU. Car Parking will be available in the student & staff car parks located off Genners Lane.
