Careers and Employability Adviser

Newman University is seeking to recruit a Careers and Employability Adviser, to play an integral part in the services on offer to students and graduates as part of the careers service. You will be expected to provide high quality careers guidance to students and graduates through one-to-one guidance sessions, workshops and teaching input on employability related academic modules. You will work with a variety of stakeholders to enhance the employability of students and graduates, contribute towards projects to improve graduate outcomes and use IT to enhance careers education. You will also have the opportunity to coordinate new ways of tracking students and developing careers related awards.

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent level qualification, and a relevant careers guidance qualification. Knowledge of the graduate labour market is important together with excellent skills in communication, teamwork and I.T.

Working hours will be Monday to Thursday 9am – 5pm and Friday 9am – 4.30pm. The post will also involve some occasional evening and weekend work.
