Birmingham Newman University has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Director of Digital and IT to join us as a senior manager within the Digital and IT Services Department on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the university’s Enterprise Service Management tooling and practice and will advocate for the improvement of the university’s cyber security, including running cyber awareness training for all staff, articulating risks as part of IT change activities and co-ordinating work towards industry regulations and cyber accreditations. You will also deputise for the Director as required and assist the Director in managing budgets, line manage the Application team and attend and represent Digital and IT Services at internal and external meetings as necessary.

Candidates should have an understanding of Cyber Security and Application Development. Recent, substantial experience in an IT management role, of IT project management, IT security work and service management technologies is also essential.
