Newman University enjoys a strong reputation in Counselling and Psychotherapy.  Our distinctive suite of professional programmes includes a UKCP accredited postgraduate training in psychotherapy, MSc Integrative Counselling (Full time), a BACP accredited Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling, and a BA (Hons) Counselling ‘Top Up’ award.  We also run several very popular Combined Honours degree programmes, including a BPS accredited BSc (Hons) Psychology & Counselling Studies, a BA (Hons) in Counselling Studies & Working with Children, Young People and Families, a BA (Hons) Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and Low Intensity – PWP training.

We are currently seeking to appoint both a Senior Lecturer and Lecturer to join our expanding team on a full-time basis.

The successful applicant as Senior Lecturer will lead on our PWP (Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner) training and have BPS / BABCP / HCPC registration (or eligible to).

The successful applicant as Lecturer will work alongside the Senior Leader to deliver the PWP (Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner) training and have BPS / BABCP / HCPC registration (or eligible to)

The postholders will be able to contribute to our Talking Therapies (IAPT) low intensity training and depending on prior experience and professional registration, to our wider portfolio of programmes.
