Newman University is seeking to recruit a part-time Employer Liaison and Advice and Guidance Worker, to play an integral part in the services we offer to students and graduates as part of the careers service. You will be expected to run a centralised student Job Shop and to provide daily in-depth information, advice and guidance to students and graduates on part-time work, placements and graduate opportunities. You will manage employer liaison activity on behalf of the careers service, organising fairs, events and managing an online vacancy database for the careers service and as a cross university function. You will also be involved in the analysis of the new graduate outcomes survey and complete other roles that will contribute to the strategic priorities around employability.

The successful candidate will have experience in a careers related role with at least an NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent. Excellent skills in communication, teamwork and I.T will be important for this role.

Working hours would preferably be 4 days a week from 9am – 4.30pm. The post will also involve some occasional evening and weekend work.

The pro rata salary for this part time role is £17,658 – £19,859 per annum.
