There are lots and lots of exciting events that will be happening during 2020-2021, all of which you can find out about and book your place on your My Career account.

Star Event

Newman University Careers Service is offering you the chance to take part in our Virtual Careers, Opportunities and Graduate Jobs Fair 2020 on Tuesday 13th October between 11am and 6pm, designed exclusively for Newman University students and graduates to meet with a variety of employers, recruiting for both 2020 and 2021 starts, alongside a variety of part-time positions and voluntary work experience/placement opportunities.

We will be working with Career Fair Plus to host our event to create an intuitive, user-friendly experience for students, graduates and employers. Follow the Career Fair Plus smart link . If you are on the web, it will take you to the fair listing page. If you are on a mobile device, it will take you to the mobile app (or to download the mobile app).

Key Dates and Instructions …

  • Monday 14th September 2020 – Students and Graduates can download the app, search for Newman University and browse employers, you can even mark potential employers to revisit. Think of you career aspirations, but think outside the box, many employers will recruit from any subject discipline. Additional employers maybe added up until 23rd September 2020.
  • Monday 28th September 2020 – Students and Graduates can book appointments with employers to have a one-to-one conversation. Book, as many as you need (one per employer), just check the times do not clash, make sure you research and prepare for each employer.
  • Tuesday 13th October 2020 – On the day of the fair, log in at your reserved time for appointments and enter the room with the employer. Plan your day well and make the most of the time available, having a schedule for when you might attend a talk, drop-in or appointment and make sure they don’t clash.

The Careers Service will be there to help you before and during the event. Just email and there are workshops you can attend to get the most out of the day, all advertised and bookable through My Career.
