Shortlist.Me
Last Updated: March 11th 2025

Shortlist.Me enables students and recent graduates to identify strengths, practice their interview skills, practice aptitude tests and tackle job simulations.
It recreates elements of the online interview process that may be experienced when applying for jobs or courses. The aim is to build confidence, and it is a great way to practice in a safe environment.
It’s a great starting point to find out what sort of questions you might be asked or tests you might have to complete in bite size activities.
Some Shortlist.Me practice interviews have been created by Birmingham Newman University staff and others from real graduate employers from a range of industries.
- Master interviews: Enhance your confidence and refine your responses for every stage
- Excel in aptitude tests: Improve your skills in numerical, verbal, and logical reasoning
- Identify your strengths: Discover what sets you apart with self-assessments
- Tackle real-world challenges: Build readiness by practicing job simulations
You can browse activities and complete in your own time. Additionally, you may be asked to complete a certain activity by a university staff member. You will be sent the link to the interview directly and will need to register.
