Birmingham Newman University is the highest climbing university in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025, moving up 35 places.

In the latest edition of The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025, Birmingham Newman University has climbed to 90th place, which is 35 places higher than last year.

This announcement follows the latest edition of the Guardian University Guide, where Birmingham Newman University climbed to 71st place, firmly within the top 75 – also the biggest rise by any UK university.

The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025 has also positioned Birmingham Newman University for the following accolades:

  • 5th in the UK for teaching quality
  • 5th in the UK for student satisfaction
  • 7th out of 11 providers in the West Midlands region (up from 11th in the previous year)
  • 5th in the UK for Social Inclusion

This achievement marks a significant milestone in the University’s journey, showcasing its dedication to providing high-quality education and a supportive learning environment for students. The rise in rankings reflects Birmingham Newman University’s commitment to academic excellence and student satisfaction.

The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025 provides prospective students with essential information for making informed higher education choices, evaluating aspects from teaching quality and student experience to degree completion rates and graduate employment prospects at 134 UK universities.

The jump in the Times and Guardian rankings follows a series of recent awards, including:
