Newman University is extremely pleased and proud to announce that Dr Mike Seal has been nominated for a prestigious National Teaching Fellowship Award.

The award scheme is run by Advance HE who are dedicated to helping higher education shape its future. The scheme celebrates and recognises individuals who have made an outstanding impact on student outcomes and the teaching profession in higher education and is open to all UK HE providers.

The award is extremely well-known around universities and has been running since the year 2000 with over 860 National Teaching Fellows with up to 55 individuals receiving the award each year.

Dr Seal is a Reader in Critical Pedagogy at Newman University and also leads on the Foundation Year programmes which aims to act as a stepping stone for those who do not have the formal qualifications to gain their place at university but would like to further their education.

We wish Mike the best of luck with his nomination and congratulate him for being nominated.
