Lord Mayor of city visits Birmingham Newman University campus
Professor Jackie Dunne, Vice-Chancellor, and members of the University Executive Team were delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Ken Wood, and the Lady Mayoress, Barbara Wood, to Birmingham Newman University. Over lunch, they discussed the University’s role within the city and its contributions.
Following this, the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress were given a guided campus tour by student ambassadors Kai and Shania, including a visit to the newly refurbished Ryland Quad – a key milestone in the Estates Masterplan.

They also toured the state-of-the-art School of Nursing and Allied Health facilities, where they met with students and programme leaders to celebrate the launch of the MSc Nursing programme.
