Seven students who are currently studying a Sports degree at Newman University will be putting on a Community Christmas Tournament and Dinner at Dudley Golf Club on 12th December.

Students, Josh Lemm, Jack Turner, Adnan Rashid, Muhammed Naeem, Waqar Hussain, Faz Khan, and Shirelle Cope, as part of their degree, have been tasked with organising an event within their local community. The students have decided that they are going to put on a golf tournament for the Senior members at Dudley Golf Club, followed by a Christmas dinner.

The students commented, “With a fun combination of festivities and competition, we are reinvigorating the golfing community with a passionate, family friendly atmosphere. The day will include a pair’s 9-hole golf tournament, followed by a beautifully cooked Christmas Dinner and a Raffle in the name of Age Well charity. The event highlights the importance of keeping the Senior community active and social, whilst simultaneously using a raffle to raise money for charity.”
