Statement from Professor Jackie Dunne, Vice-Chancellor Birmingham Newman University
Dear All
As Vice-Chancellor of Birmingham Newman University, I want to affirm that the University strongly condemns the horrendous acts of violence that have been taking place in towns and cities across the UK.
We are proud of the diversity that is represented by our staff and students and continually strive to build a community where there is a place for everyone. We firmly stand against all forms of discrimination, racism, and violence. It is a time for us all to be aware of what those around us may be experiencing and feeling, and I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the University’s wellbeing services are available to anyone needing support.
The University web page for health and wellbeing support for students can be found here: Student Support – Birmingham Newman University
The University intranet page for health and wellbeing support for staff can be found here: Staff Health and Wellbeing (newman.ac.uk)
Best wishes
Jackie
