Edgbaston, Maryvale, Littlemore and Oxford Halls are a cheaper alternative to the new halls, while still providing all that you need to enjoy living at Newman. The halls are located in the heart of the campus, meaning you’ll have easy access to all the facilities on offer. We offer affordable pricing and a great range of different options – shared bathroom facilities, en-suite bedrooms, a limited number of accessible en-suite bedrooms and self-contained flats.
There are 173 single study bedrooms in the Original Halls of Residence. This comprises of 145 single bedrooms with a shared bathroom, 2 accessible en-suite bedrooms, 19 standard en-suite bedrooms, 2 standard self-contained flats and 5 deluxe self-contained flats. The original halls of residence are split into four halls which are all interlinked:
- Edgbaston Hall – 6 floors with 93 shared bathroom bedrooms
- Littlemore Hall – 1 floor with 2 accessible en-suite rooms
- Maryvale Hall – 6 floors with 52 shared bathroom bedrooms, 15 en-suite bedrooms, 2 standard self-contained flats and 5 deluxe self-contained flats.
- Oxford Hall – 1 floor with 4 en-suite bedrooms
