Our MA / PG Cert Education team comprises lecturers with expertise in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Secondary and HE. Our lectures are research active with advanced knowledge in a variety of specialist areas e.g. Leadership and Management, SEND, Coaching and Mentoring, Teaching and Learning, Safeguarding etc.

The mode of delivery for this programme is Blended Learning. Most of the sessions will be taught online with some modules offering a limited number of on campus sessions. In collaboration with module leaders, the mode of delivery should be suitably flexible to offer scope for negotiable adjustments. One-to-one tutorial support is offered both online and on campus.

Your timetable will depend on the module options you select to complete. You confirm your module options for the academic year during the enrolment process. Therefore, full details of your individual academic timetable will be available on mynewman after you have completed online enrolment and set up your student login.

To prepare for the start of your programme, you are expected to engage in reflection on your practice. This reflection should facilitate embedding your professional knowledge in presenting context-based examples to support theoretical knowledge which you will encounter during your taught sessions. If you have made a decision on a specialist pathway, reading current policy documents prior to the beginning of taught sessions, would be beneficial.
