Using the Library
The Library is here to help you with every stage of your studies at Newman – providing you with the resources, environment and staff support to see you through your course.
You will be able to borrow books and access our e-resources from the moment you receive your Newman IT account. During Semester 1, your dedicated Academic Service Librarian will introduce themselves to you and show you how to use our search tool, Library Search. This is where you’ll be able to find all of our books, ebooks and journals.
We have created a Library Induction site specifically to help you learn about the Library. We’d advise you to have a look through this information before arriving at Newman.
The site contains:
- a video tour of the Library building
- details of the staff that will be on hand to support you throughout your course
- the different study spaces available to you
- information about finding and borrowing books and journals
- video tutorials
