Theology

Theology at Newman will help you gain a deeper knowledge of the religious and cultural traditions of the world in which we live. It will also encourage you to offer analytical and critical comment on religious issues in current affairs and makes use of innovative learning methods. You will study a programme which provides a foundation in the essential aspects of Theology, namely Biblical Studies, Philosophy, Theological Studies and World Faiths.

As the study of Theology requires understanding of complex issues, analytical thought and good organisational skills there are a number of career opportunities for graduates of this course including teaching, social services, personnel and retail management. Career opportunities are also available in many of the main Christian churches as educators, administrators or in ministry.
