Aimee Delaney – Primary Education with recommendation for QTS
Primary Teacher
Aimee studied her Primary Education with QTS degree at Newman University, graduating in 2020 with a 2:1.
After overcoming issues in her personal life, Aimee was able to use the support of her lecturers to develop her own teaching style that she could take into her career.
“The lecturers were wonderful. They were always so understanding and kind, and so approachable. They really helped you to understand not just what to teach, but how to teach it as well.”
Aimee describes her time at Newman as a whirlwind three years but the greatest feeling when you graduate.
Aimee is now working as an NQT in year 4 at a local primary school and says she works with a wonderful class of children and the hard work was definitely worth it.
When looking at her long term goals Aimee said she would like “To make even one child feel like they can conquer the world, and to make a change to future generations.”
Aimee also commented “at Newman, you really feel heard. The lecturers really care about you, and the size of the university makes it feel like one big family. You will always be supported here!”
