We are thrilled to invite you to the exclusive launch event for the Education and Childhood Research Centre at Birmingham Newman University.
Join us to celebrate the launch of this exciting new initiative. The event will feature talks from our academic staff and a special presentation by our esteemed guest speaker, Professor Julian McDougall titled “Beyond Solutionism with Media Literacy Education: A Theory of Change for A Healthier Future”.
The Education and Childhood Research Centre aims to:
- Foster collaboration between academic staff, students, community members, and stakeholders to generate and share knowledge
- Promote practitioner research to influence and enhance educational practice
- Critically explore and address educational policy and issues alongside our community.
The Centre will provide an inclusive, collaborative space for innovative educational research across the Faculty and the wider university community.
