Course fees and Scholarships

The course fees for international students are as follows:

Postgraduate international course fees

The full-time, postgraduate course fees and funding, for academic year 2025/26 and 2026/27 are:

Academic year 2025/26 and 2026/27

  • Postgraduate Taught: £13,500 tuition fee
  • International Excellence Scholarship: £5,500
  • Net Fees: £8,000

All International Students who apply in 2025/26 and 2026/27 will be eligible for the International Excellence Scholarship which will be automatically applied to their offer as a tuition fee reduction.

International students must pay fees and deposit amounts as instructed within their offer letter.

Undergraduate international course fees

The full-time, undergraduate course fees and funding, for academic year 2025/26 and 2026/27 are:

  • Undergraduate Taught: £12,500 tuition fee
  • International Excellence Scholarship: £1,500
  • Net Fees: £11,000

All International Students who apply in 2025/26 and 2026/27 will be eligible for the International Excellence Scholarship which will be automatically applied to their offer as a tuition fee reduction.

International Scholarships

Birmingham Newman University – GREAT Scholarships 2026 – Ghana

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Birmingham Newman University is offering 1 scholarships to students in Ghana applying for one-year postgraduate full time courses in MSc International Business Management, MA Education, Master of Public Health.

The GREAT Scholarships 2026 programme, launched by the British Council together with over 60 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam in accessing world-class UK higher education opportunities.

The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at over 60 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

  • Applicants must be passport holders of Ghanas and assessed as international for fee purposes.
  • Applicants must have applied, accepted a place and met all the conditions of their offer by 31 May 2026.
  • Applicants must not be in receipt of any other source of funding, either from an external funding body or Birmingham Newman University.

You must provide a supporting statement of no more than 400 words (please note that statements that exceed the word count will automatically be rejected), outlining why you should receive the scholarship. You should include:

  • Academic achievements you are particularly proud of and why these really matter to you
  • Why you have chosen to do the degree you have applied for
  • What your future aspirations are and how the scholarship will help you to achieve your future goals

Your statement will be judged on how effectively and convincingly you respond to the above.

Applications which exceed the word count will automatically be rejected.
