Birmingham Newman University has a network of education agents all over the world. In most cases, there will be an agent near you.

The role of an education agent is to help you with your application to study at our University. If you need support in the application process, an education agent should ensure your enrolment is as easy as possible.

As an institution, Birmingham Newman University is a signatory to the UK Agent Quality Framework and has committed to create and maintain the highest standards of agent management, ensuring the UK remains a leading study destination for international students.

The University currently has an exclusive agreement with QS Apply.

Working with an education agent

We have entered into commercial arrangements with the education agents listed above. They are contracted to support you in:

• choosing a course
• submitting an application
• finding accommodation, and
• applying for a visa as appropriate to your circumstances

If you enrol with us, we pay the education agent a commission or fee. We spend resources on training and helping these education agents to offer you the best possible service. We strongly encourage you to only use one of our official education agents listed above. Please note that there have been examples of unofficial education agents claiming to represent us. Please check the find an agent search to be sure you are using an official partner of Birmingham Newman University.

We expect agents and those who represent us to mee the standards and best practice set out in the National Code of Ethical Practice (PDF).

Education agent complaints process

We are committed to ensuring that the relationships between us, the education agents, and you remain fair and transparent.

However, we acknowledge that occasionally, you may have reason to question or express concern to us about the education agent who has supported you with your application. Please submit a formal complaint and we will work with you to resolve the issue to visacompliance@newman.ac.uk.
