Birmingham Newman University’s Registry supports all stages of the student life-cycle from admissions to graduation.  The post of Admissions Co-ordinator is situated within the University’s ‘central’ Registry function, within the office of the University’s Registrar.

The Admissions Co-ordinator role is a key position in an expanding team, integral to the ways Newman engages with applicants and supports a smooth transition through each stage of the admission process.

The postholder will work closely with a second coordinator already in post, sharing responsibility for co-ordinating operational activity within the central team and with faculties and other stakeholders both internal and external. This will require a person with an appetite to expand their existing admissions expertise, seeking innovative approaches to enhance efficiency and level of service to deliver an excellent applicant experience, whilst ensuring all compliance requirements are met. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to put their knowledge and skills to more use.

Candidates should have experience of working in an admissions process within a higher education sector or a customer-focused administrative environment within the higher education sector or transferable field. Proficient in SITS or similar systems. Aptitude to create and interrogate databases. Excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills.
