Graduate Teaching Assistant (Foundation Year)

The Foundation Year at Birmingham Newman University is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated teaching team on a fixed-term basis until 31 July 2025. Our integrated foundation year is the first year of a range four-year undergraduate programmes from Law, Nursing and Business Management to Education, Counselling and Psychology. As a member of the Foundation Year team, the Graduate Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues to explore new approaches to teaching and assessment, and to share best practices. A graduate of the humanities or social sciences, the Graduate Teaching Assistant will establish and cultivate positive relationships with Foundation Year students, both online and in person, to foster engagement. They will have the opportunity to develop and deliver engaging teaching sessions, employing a variety of innovative methods to cater to diverse learning styles, as well as providing tutorial support Informal enquiries about this opportunity are very welcome.
