To register your interest for SKE  to facilitate meeting requirements for Sept 2021 PGCE Entry, please contact SKE Administrator – ske@newman.ac.uk

Completion of a Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) course may have been given as a condition of entry following an interview for a teacher training programme.

The SKE course is undertaken before starting an initial teacher training course. You must hold a conditional offer of a place on an initial teacher training course either at Newman University or another provider before you can start a SKE course.

We will support the development of your subject knowledge in your proposed PGCE discipline so that you are able to start your PGCE programme with a sufficient subject base to build upon over the training year.

We have over 50 successful years’ of experience support trainee teachers.  We are moving to delivery online this year, due to Covid-19. The mode of delivery will be a combination of interactive online content and virtual tutorials.

We are offering this approach for:

Courses in each subject are either 8 or 12 weeks long, this will have been discussed at interview.

Those who require a SKE in Physics will be contacted directly with further information.

Funding:
