Benedict Hart


Ben has a love of History developed through countless childhood trips to ruins, castles and museums. This, combined with an inspiring History teacher at school, set him on the path to studying History at university and, whilst there, some opportunities to get into schools and share his passion for the study of the past with others.

Ben then moved into a teaching career, with roles at different points as a classroom teacher, head of department, head of faculty, extra-curricular activities co-ordinator and part of a teaching and learning strategy team. Ben now brings this range of experiences to teacher education.

Ben’s specific interests in teacher education lie in developing teaching and learning through the usage of technology and innovation, learning theories relating to checking for understanding and the gap between learning and performance.
