Biography
Dual qualified adult and children’s nurse who started their career in 1991 undertaking traditional nurse training at South Warwickshire School of Nursing. Qualified as an RGN in 1991 and then went on to complete a Child Nursing diploma at the University of Luton in 1998, gained a BSc in emergency nursing in 2008 and obtained Masters in education in 2013.
Main area of expertise and passion is for children’s emergency nursing and clinically and have worked nearly 20 years in various emergency departments including Wycombe, Telford, Shrewsbury and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
At Good Hope Hospital and Solihull minor injuries Chris qualified and worked as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner.
In 2011 Chris became a Senior Lecturer at Birmingham City University and worked as a course and placement lead, admissions senior lecturer and a module convener for Professional practice, leadership, and practice learning modules, joining Newman University in May 2023.
Chris is currently an external examiner for the Return to practice Course at Ulster University
