Our Applicant Experience Days are a unique opportunity for applicants to immerse in our vibrant community and see first-hand what makes Birmingham Newman University special.
It is an opportunity to participate in exciting, tailored activities, get a taster session in your chosen subject, find out about student life, get to know your future course mates and ask any burning questions.
Applicant experience days are by invitation only and are exclusively for our level 4 – 6 applicants.

Our Applicant Experience Days are invite-only events, exclusively for our undergraduate applicants.
You’ll receive a personal email invitation that will include the booking link and a programme of the day.
If you have not received your invite, please contact marketing@newman.ac.uk.

Can I bring a guest?
There will be sessions and activities at the event designed specifically for applicants. However, if you choose to bring a parent, carer, or guest with you, there will be a separate schedule of activities for them to attend during the offer holder sessions. This will give them the chance to have their questions answered and learn more about student life. Further details will be emailed.

Parking on campus is free of charge.
If you are approaching from Adams Hill do not turn left on to Jiggins Lane, but continue past the shops and turn onto the students’ car park for the main entrance and visitors’ car park.
If using a GPS/Sat Nav system please enter the co-ordinates: 52.433003,-1.993246 or enter the postcode: B32 3NU.
The visitors car park is accessed through the student car park on Genners Lane. You are also able to park on the Sailing Club Car park for free which is just off Jenners Lane.
Please note, there is now a Clean Air Zone in Birmingham city centre. Please check before travelling.

We a single campus university making navigating around Birmingham Newman easy.
Upon arrive please visit our reception where we will check you in and then our friendly student ambassadors will be on hand to guide you throughout your day.

Our Applicant Experience Days generally run between 10.30am – 3.00pm, you will receive an email confirmation of your personalised experience which will confirm timings.
We really encourage you to stay for the whole event, to get the best experience, however we know that this may not always be possible.
If you are unable to attend for the full day, we will have someone on hand to guide you to where you need to be on campus.

The schedule will be included in an email closer to the event. This will include useful advice to help you plan your visit.
Please note that it will not be necessary for you to book to attend any specific talks in advance of the Applicant Experience Day.
When you arrive at campus, our team of staff and student ambassadors will be on hand to welcome you and provide directions and advice.

The Applicant Experience Day on 5 April, is open to level 4, 5 and 6 undergraduate applicants. We send your invite to the email you used when you applied, if you haven’t received one, please get in touch with us.
If you are a foundation year applicant, students are invited to attend their choice of campus visits.
These take place each month, and you can sign up to a Foundation Year Campus visit here.
