Newman University College Chaplaincy exists to enable all at Newman to explore and experience “Life to the Full” Jn 10:10. Students and staff are welcome to join in the activities of the Chaplaincy, including services, retreats and social activities.
The Chaplaincy is open and welcoming to all faiths and is committed to ensuring that all are free to worship. Newman University College has a Chapel, Multi-Faith Prayer room and a Quiet Room for reflection. All are located along Chapel Gallery Walk.
The Chaplaincy team of Margaret Holland and the Assistant Chaplain work alongside students and staff, providing support, encouragement and assistance, as well as organising and leading prayer and worship and God knows what else! Fr. Stefan Laszczyk, Parish Priest at St. Paul's, Kings Norton, joins the Catholic Community to celebrate the sacraments. Mass is celebrated in the College Chapel on Sundays and two weekdays, in term time.
The Multi-Faith Prayer Room is permanently available, and includes wudu facilities.
The Chaplaincy supports the Christian Union, Islamic Society and SVP Soc who meet regularly. Details of times and venues of their meetings and events are on the Chaplaincy notice boards around the University College. For more information please email m.holland@newman.ac.uk
