Training for School Based Leads and School Based Tutors

Newman University offer training that provides consistency, quality and coherence for School-Based Leads and Tutors (SBLs and SBTs) in mentoring and coaching within ITTE. The training will cover:

  • induction;
  • training on specific areas relating to assessment;
  • subject specific networking
  • coaching and mentoring;
  • moderation;
  • standardising quality processes; and
  • updating on developments in ITTE.

  • Being a new mentor
  • Enhancing mentor feedback
  • Supporting ‘struggling’ trainees

Wednesday 25th January 2023: 16.00 – 17.15 (MS Teams)

Embedding themed curriculum in SE2 and applying professional practice, monitoring progress and enhancing trainee practice in Stage 2 training

Assessing trainees and preparing for ECT across PGCE Core and School Direct.  Moving the curriculum forward in 2023 and 2023 developments
