Newman University works in partnership with a wide range of organisations in the public, private, social enterprise, community and voluntary sectors. This benefits them and their staff, the people and communities they serve and students at the University.
School experience opportunities for trainee teachers and work placements for all other honours undergraduates provide an excellent starting point for this mutually beneficial collaboration.
There are numerous other ways we can work together and you will find us friendly and responsive and keen to customise what we do to your requirements. Including providing short courses, professional development, honours degrees and postgraduate qualifications in teacher training, the humanities, management, sports science, psychology, counselling and education, children, families and young people related subjects.
Newman's School of Education works with schools across the Midlands which provide placements for Newman's Initial Teacher Education students, and Newman also works with schools to provide training through the school direct training programme. We also work in partnership with other educational institutions to develop joint provision.
"I truly consider Newman University, Birmingham, to be a fantastic business partner with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. We have always been made welcome as if we were visiting friends and family which is not something I’d say I get when I visit larger universities. I’ve enjoyed working in smaller classroom settings and larger lecture environments where we have been able to add value to the students’ skills and employability while strengthening our brand on campus. Make sure you are not missing out on some very talented students from Newman University."
