Module delivery

Our teaching approach is collaborative, explorative and dialogical with a mixture of taught based content, discussions, activities and practice exercises.

  • In semester one we will be running CFM781 which introduces the concept of counselling, skills development and practice.
  • CFM782 which will explore Gestalt Therapy theory in understanding human distress and its application to counselling practice.
  • CFM783 a module on professional ethics, safeguarding and legislation.
  • CFM784 Research in Counselling, where students will be encouraged to decide on an area of research interest and will be taught how to read and interpret research papers and how to conduct research.
