Team

I’m Chinedu, and I am the Programme Leader for, and a Senior Lecturer in the BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance degree.

I have both academic and industry experience in banking, finance and accounting, meaning that I can really help with applying the knowledge that you learn in lectures.

My research interest and consultancy engagement is in the area of Strategy management/financial strategy. I am currently the Newman University/CMI partnership Director and I teach Accounting, Finance and Management modules.

Brief Summary

You will study three modules in the first semester, and they will be three hours each. In the first semester, this means you will be in university for three days.

During this time there is a blend of explaining academic theory, using case studies to apply the theory, group work and discussion.

We also use the first semester to introduce you to academic writing, good research practice, critical discussion and use of academic supporting evidence.

The first year of university has a balance of teaching you the requirements of both university study, and the course content.
