Pre-Course Reading
Please refer to the pre-course tasks (Newman University (google.com)) if you want to do any preparation prior to the course. These tasks are voluntary but will help you make a good start with the content of the course.
Schedule for first day, Monday 4th September
Induction day / week to introduce to the programme as well as sessions from the library, e-learning and student support services.
Dear new trainee teacher,
Congratulations on successfully securing your place with us here at Newman University Secondary Initial Teacher Training.
You will need to get your enrolment completed on Friday 1st September 2023 – this is an online enrolment and Admissions will communicate these arrangements.
The first day of your course begins on Monday 4th September at 9.00am. The schedule for the day is as in the table below.
Please note that if you are studying a subject with a Government bursary, and you are eligible to apply for one, then you will be required to provide your identification documentation. Please ensure you bring all required I.D. paperwork with you on the first day as we will be facilitating the checks during the day.
The day will include an overview of the rest of the week but do be minded that the start and end times of this full-time course are 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday.
